Internet Radio and E-Commerce

This note is more a compliment than a blog.  Let me explain.

I feel like I am learning a lot and it is, in part, because of an internet radio show called eBay & Beyond – Basics To Business. (http://www.internetauctionnewsradio.com/).  Hosted by David White with co-host, Ray Felix “Sparky”. These two guys run a very fun internet radio show that is live when the broadcast starts. The show has a call-in 800 phone number for questions from the guests and, also, has a live chat room for questions too.  (That is for those of us who are too shy to call in on the phone.)

I am a small seller and have been auctioning online items for several years and this last year I have finally tried a different venue named Online Auction.  From this new venue I learned of this very cool radio show.  I am not sure how many years they have been around but I do know that by listening to Dave and the varied guests, I have learned about many things that e commerce has to offer.  Things I never knew about!! I would never have learned about blogging if I hadn’t heard an interview with Scott Pooler (http://www.ibusinesslogic.com/). There have been other interesting interviews. Most are archived. One of the most exciting interviews, for me, was when I heard Chris Fain, CEO OnlineAuction, live. Today, Saturday, 9/6/08, there was an outstanding and very informative show with representatives, Brian and Amy, of HammerTap. (http://www.hammertap.com/)

Speaking of Chris Fain and OLA or OnlineAuction. (http://www.onlineauction.com/) I might mention that Dave, now, hosts a radio show exclusively sponsored by OLA.  Online Auction now has their own show with interviews from the staff as well as Chris.  This show airs on Thursday evenings at 9:00 est. You don’t have to be a member of Online Auction to listen to the internet radio cast. Live chat and 800 call-in number as well. http://www.ola-radio.com./

Online Auction (OLA) has been making many upgrades these last several months. Certainly, there are glitches when new changes and servers come on line but all of us are very excited and Dave’s OLA radio show helps us keep informed and lets us ask our questions. This last Thursday, 9/4/08, Chris Fain discussed these new upgrades, security issues, rss feeds and google searches.

I do digress, just too much to talk about!! :)   Thank You Dave (aka McButtons) for your great Internet Radio Shows.   I enjoy and learn so much.  Keep up the good work!
